Okay, so, I’ve been eyeing this OMEGA X-33 Marstimer watch for a while now. I finally decided to go to the official flagship store to check it out.

First off, I heard that this Marstimer is a bit bigger than the older X-33 models. Some folks online were talking about the size difference between this one and the X-33 Gen 1 and 2. I have a Gen 2 myself, and I really like its size, so I was curious to see the Marstimer in person.

When I got to the store, the staff told me that they usually have the X-33 Marstimer in stock about 70% of the time. Lucky for me, they had one that day! I got to try it on, and yeah, it’s definitely a bit bigger, but it wasn’t too bad. The bezel is pretty cool, by the way.

I’ve been reading up on this watch, and some people online say it’s even better than the older X-33s. They claim it keeps time better and has some new features. Since I was already planning on spending a good chunk of money, I figured it might be worth considering.

One thing I was wondering about was why OMEGA didn’t use a solar-powered movement for this watch. I found out that the CEO, Raynald Aeschlimann, actually answered this question. I guess it’s not solar-powered.

I also learned that this watch can display Mars time and has a solar compass, which is kind of neat, I guess. The price is around 5 CHF, which is pretty steep.

To be honest, I was also thinking about getting the X-33 Skywalker. It’s a tough choice between the two. The Mars time thing on the Marstimer is probably just a gimmick, but it’s still a pretty cool one.

Anyway, after trying it on and thinking about it some more, I finally pulled the trigger and bought the Marstimer.

I took it out of the store, put it on, and set it up. It really does look and feel great on my wrist.

So, yeah, that’s my experience with getting the OMEGA X-33 Marstimer from the official flagship store. It was a bit of an impulse buy, but I’m happy with it so far.
