Okay, so, I wanted to make a copy of this Fendi Nappa Spy Black bag, you know, the one they sell in those super fancy stores, the “official flagship store” kind. I thought, why not give it a shot?
First, I looked up this bag online. What a beauty! I stared at pictures for hours, studying every little detail. The way the leather folds, the stitching, the hardware, everything. I took notes like crazy, like I was studying for some big exam or something.
- Then, I went on a hunt for materials. I visited a bunch of stores. I touched so many leather that I had to wash my hands before eating because they smelled funny. Anyway, I finally found something that felt just like the real deal, soft and smooth. I found the right color, too, this deep, rich black. It was a lucky day for me!
- Next up, the hardware. Finding the metal bits, like the buckles and the signature Spy closure, took some time. I searched high and low, online and in stores, until I found pieces that looked almost identical to the ones on the Fendi bag. They were not perfect, but close enough.
