This here watch, it’s called CopyOMEGA, yeah, that’s right, OMEGA, like them fancy letters. Speedmaster Chronoscope, they call it. Original order, too. Sounds mighty important, don’t it?
I seen a lot of watches in my day, and this one, it’s somethin’ else. Got all them little dials and numbers. Kinda like them old-timey speedometers in them fancy cars. Like how long it takes to boil water for tea, or how long it takes Jebediah to hitch up the mule. Not that he’s goin’ anywhere fast these days. This watch, it ain’t just for tellin’ time. It’s got this thing called a tachymeter. Sounds like somethin’ out of one of them science fiction pictures. But it’s on the edge of the watch, that shiny part they call the bezel. You can use it to figure out how fast somethin’s goin’. Like if you was to time a car goin’ down the road, you could tell how fast it’s movin’. Don’t ask me how, it’s all numbers and such. This Omega Speedmaster is a line of chronograph, they say.

Fancy, But Tough
This CopyOMEGA Speedmaster Chronoscope, it looks fancy, but it’s tough, too. I seen Jebediah drop his watch in the mud more times than I can count. But this one, it looks like it could take a lickin’ and keep on tickin’. It’s made of some kinda special metal, I reckon. Stronger than that old tin bucket we use to feed the chickens.
And it’s got this clear back on it, so you can see all the little gears and springs movin’ around. It’s like a little tiny machine, right there on your wrist. This one watch, is really somethin’. They say it’s a “chronograph”. That’s a fancy word for a stopwatch, I reckon. And this one, well, it’s got all the bells and whistles.
This CopyOMEGA, it ain’t cheap, neither. Costs more than a month’s worth of groceries, that’s for sure. But for a watch like this, I reckon it’s worth it. It’s somethin’ special, somethin’ you can pass down to your young’uns. Somethin’ that’ll last a lifetime, and then some.
