Okay, here’s my story about trying to remake that PRADA Tessuto Nylon Backpack.
So, I got this idea stuck in my head. I wanted to remake a PRADA bag. Not just any PRADA bag, but that Tessuto Nylon Backpack. You know, the one everyone seems to love? Susan’s girl, she keeps talking about it. She said it’s from the official flagship store, which, I guess, is a big deal. It’s like the county seat, you know, where all the important stuff is.
I figured, why not? It’s a classic. Black nylon, goes with everything. You can take it to the grocery store or even to church, as they say. I heard it’s strong, waterproof. And it’s a PRADA, so it’s gotta be fancy, right?
I started digging around. Turns out, this bag is a remake of one from ’95. Vintage but modern, you know? Everyone seems to be wearing it. It is a remake version. I saw it everywhere, so that must mean something, right?
- I looked at pictures online, I tried to see what makes it so special.
- I went to some stores, checked out similar bags, felt the material.
- I even tried to find the same kind of nylon. Tough stuff to find, let me tell you.
Then I got to work. I took apart an old backpack I had lying around, just to see how it was made. I sketched some designs, trying to copy that PRADA look. I sewed some pieces together, trying different materials, different stitches.
My DIY PRADA
It was a mess, honestly. Thread everywhere, scraps of nylon all over the floor. But I kept at it. I wanted to see if I could really do it. I spent hours, days even, just trying to get it right. I compared what I made to pictures of the real deal.
In the end, I made something that kinda, sorta looked like the PRADA backpack. It wasn’t perfect, not by a long shot. But you know what? I did it. I took an idea and I made it real. It’s my own little version of that fancy PRADA bag. And I learned a lot along the way. So, maybe it’s not about having the real thing, but about the process, about making something yourself, the process of remake.
I think I’ll stick to buying the real thing next time, though. It’s a lot less work! But hey, at least I can say I tried. I made my own, DIY PRADA!
