Seeking Remake PRADA Bowler Bag? About Original Order.

Okay, so, I’ve been totally obsessed with the Prada Bowler Bag lately. I mean, who isn’t? It’s like, the “it” bag right now. I kept seeing it everywhere, and I just had to have one. But, you know, the price tag? Ouch. So, I thought, “Why not try to remake one myself?” Sounds crazy, right? But I was determined.

First, I spent hours just staring at pictures of the bag online. I stumbled upon this classic and man, did it bring back some memories! I needed to figure out every little detail, you know? The shape, the size, the stitching, everything. It was like a detective job, but for fashion. It’s kind of funny, this bag was HUGE back in the early 2000s and the original was from the Spring-Summer 2000 collection called “Sincere Chic” I read online.

Then came the sketching. I’m no artist, but I managed to draw a basic bowler bag shape. I based it on the medium-sized Prada ones I saw online, it was not too tricky to get it done. Getting the curves just right was a bit of a challenge, but after a few tries, I had something that looked pretty decent, I used the dimensions of the real deal as a guide.

Next up was, the materials. This was the tricky part. I wanted something that looked and felt like the real deal, you know, that quality feel, but without the original price tag. I went to this local fabric store and I think I touched every single roll of fabric they had! Finally, I found this gorgeous material that was just perfect.

  • Cutting the fabric: This was scary! I measured everything like, ten times before I made the first cut. Slowly but surely, the pieces started to come together.
  • Sewing: Okay, my sewing skills are, let’s say, a work in progress. But I took it slow, one seam at a time. There were a few mishaps, a lot of re-do’s, but I kept at it.
  • Hardware: Finding the right hardware was a whole other adventure. I searched online, I went to different stores, finally I found some pieces that looked pretty close to the original. It was like a treasure hunt.

Putting it all together was like solving a puzzle. Seeing the bag take shape was the most satisfying feeling ever. It took days, maybe weeks, honestly, I lost track of time. But finally, it was done.

My Prada Bowler Bag was finally here!

And you know what? It looked pretty darn good! Sure, it wasn’t perfect. There were some imperfections, some wonky seams, but it was mine. I made it with my own two hands. And honestly, I think I love it even more than the real one. Because it tells a story, my story, you know?

I’m so glad that I finally made it. Maybe I will sell it to someone else since I’m not using it any more. I guess from 45.24 to 2 is a good price.

So, yeah, that’s the story of my Prada Bowler Bag adventure. It was a wild ride, but I’m so glad I did it. It just goes to show, if you set your mind to something, even if it seems a little crazy, you can totally make it happen.
