Alright, guys, so I’ve been into this whole luxury bag thing lately, and I finally did it – I made my own Prada Cahier bag. This is not a purchase record, it’s a remake journey. Yeah, you heard that right, like the one you’d see in the official Prada store.

After searching around, I managed to find some that looked pretty similar. I even found something that looked like an original receipt, but I’m not gonna charge myself 17,900 DKK for a DIY bag, hah! Not to mention the so-called authenticity card.
Cutting the leather was a bit nerve-wracking. I mean, one wrong cut and you’ve got an expensive piece of scrap. But I took it slow, measured twice, cut once, all that good stuff. I used some templates I drew up based on the pictures I’d been obsessing over. It was like putting together a really complicated puzzle, but way more stressful.
Next up, I started to assemble the bag. I used some heavy-duty thread and a sewing machine, cause ain’t nobody got time to hand-stitch a whole bag. Let me tell you, sewing thick leather is no joke. I broke a few needles, cursed a bit, but kept going. Seeing it start to take shape was pretty rewarding, I gotta admit.
The most challenging part was probably attaching the metal details. I had to be super careful not to scratch the leather or mess up the alignment. And I even made sure to add that little Prada logo. It’s all about the details, right?
