Okay, so, I’ve been wanting a Prada Galleria Saffiano Leather Bag for a while now, but, you know, the price tag? It’s a bit much. So, I started looking into, let’s call them “alternatives.” I found this one that’s supposed to be a really good remake, like, “original order” quality. I thought, why not give it a shot?
First, I spent a good chunk of time comparing pictures online. The real deal versus this remake. I mean, I zoomed in on every little detail, the stitching, the logo, the hardware. From what I could see, this remake looked pretty darn close.
Then came the ordering process. I placed the order from a platform I’ve used a few times before. I had to wait a couple of weeks, which was a bit of a pain, but I kept myself busy, you know, reading up on Saffiano leather and all that.
The day it arrived, I was like a kid on Christmas morning. I ripped open that package so fast! And there it was. The bag. In all its glory. It looked just like the pictures, which was a huge relief. I remember reading something about the thickness of the leather varying depending on its use, and this felt pretty substantial, just like what I expected.

The Feel:
The leather felt really nice, kind of stiff but in a good way. You could tell it was that treated and embossed kind. Saffiano leather I have read, apparently it doesn’t develop a patina over time like full-grain leather, so it should stay looking pretty new for a long time.

The Look:
I checked the logo plaque on the inside, it was ceramic, just like it should be on a real leather Prada bag. I’ve heard that if it’s plastic or fabric, it’s a dead giveaway that it’s a fake. Also, the stitching was on point, straight and even, no loose threads.

The Hardware:
The zippers, the clasps, the little metal feet on the bottom – they all felt solid and well-made. No cheap, flimsy stuff here. They even had that satisfying click when you closed them.
I’ve been using the bag for a few weeks now, and I gotta say, I’m really happy with it. It fits all my stuff, it looks great, and it feels like it’s going to last a long time. I read somewhere that Prada bags can hold their value over time, and maybe even become more valuable. I don’t know about that, but I do know that this bag feels like a really good investment, even if it’s not the “real” real thing. And since the Prada Galleria has been around since 2007 and is still a popular style, I feel like I made a good choice.
